The Greenbelt Elementary PTA runs a used book sale annually as part of the Greenbelt Labor Day Festival. There are thousands of books for sale, all donated during August by community members.
The sale is open throughout the Festival. (Please note that the Book Sale may close due to rain.)
Book Donations/Collections
If anyone would like to donate books, they will collect books:
Saturday, August 15th from 8:30 am – 11:30 am
Saturday, August 29th from 8:30 am – 11:30 am
in Old Greenbelt, Location to be announced in early August.
We will also have collection boxes out at Greenbriar Condominiums throughout July and August.
You can always email booksalegespta@gmail.com if you have a large collection to donate or need help with arrangements. They may be able to organize pickups on a case-by-case basis.
Help is needed to collect books on Saturdays, August 9 and 23, and to work at the book sale during the weekend.
At the Festival (prices listed are from 2025)
- Friday night pricing: Hardcover $4, Paperback $2
- Saturday/Sunday: Hardcover $2, Paperback $1
- Monday: by donation only
