The Greenbelt Labor Day Festival is held at the Roosevelt Center at 101 Centerway in Greenbelt, MD.
Parking near the festival is limited to disabled and emergency vehicles only. However, free shuttles driven by volunteers are provided from various locations around Greenbelt.
The following information pertains to the 2011 Festival. Please check back closer to the event for transportation and parking options for the 2012 Festival.
2011 Shuttle Hours:
Friday, September 2nd – 6 to 11pm
Saturday, September 3rd – 9:30am to 10:30pm
Sunday, September 4th – Noon to 10:30pm
Monday, September 5th – 12:30 to 6pm
Regrettably, there is only one shuttle bus available to the Labor Day Festival this year, so it will arrive at each stop approximately once every half hour. We regret the slightly longer interval but we appreciate our passengers’ patience and will strive to keep any wait as short as possible.
The shuttle will be picking up and dropping off passengers at these four locations:
- Directly in front of the festival at the signed location on Crescent Road just to the west side of the City Offices
- Eleanor Roosevelt High School in the rear parking lot
- Greenbelt Elementary School in the parking lot in front of the main entrance
- Green Ridge House (for Green Ridge House residents)

There will be overflow parking available at the Greenbelt Armory parking lot, but unlike previous years there will be no no shuttle bus stopping there. It is a short and pleasant walk for four tenths of a mile on the sidewalk alongside Southway Road to get to the Festival.
On Monday morning from 10:30am to 12:30pm, the shuttle will depart from the signed location on Crescent Road and return parade participants to the Greenbelt Lake parking lot (Buddy Attick Park). Starting at 12:30pm the shuttle will resume its normal route.
