Ernie Fields Motown Review
7:30 to 10:30pm
Stage. The Ernie Fields’ Show & Dance Band is one of the most popular bands. Ernie Fields is the original producer of the hit song “Some Kind A Wonderful.” His music is one of the most performed songs on the American Idol TV Show. His music is being enjoyed by millions…and now he is going to perform at the Greenbelt Labor Day Festival.
2011 Larry Noël 15K Race and 3K Fun Run
5 to 5:30pm
Take part in renewing a tradition. We are returning the Larry Noël races to their historic (2008 and earlier) courses. Required entry fee. Register online at no additional cost by August 21st. Packet pick up for both races and late registration at Greenbelt Youth Center from 4 to 4:45pm. 15K Race starting line is on Northway at Woodland Way. 3K Fun Run starting line is at Braden Field Tennis Courts. All fees include a $5 contribution to the Girls Gotta Run Foundation, an organization that provides running shoes for young women athletes in Ethiopia.

Youth Center Gym. Age groups 12 & under/13-15/16 and up. Registration at 2:30pm; tournament begins at 3pm. Players will shoot the basketball from different locations each at a different point value; each round is timed. Trophies to winner and runner up for each age group.

10-B Crescent Rd. The Greenbelt Museum’s historic home has been restored and furnished with objects from the period 1937-1952. See how Greenbelt’s families lived in the 1930s and 1940s. Even if you have visited the museum before, we invite you to come by and have another look. FREE.

Midway. Rides by Rosedale Amusements. Games, food, sale and information booths organized by Greenbelt organizations. Booths constructed and wired by Greenbelt Public Works Department. Ride tickets sold by volunteers from the Eleanor Roosevelt High School National Honor Society. No charge for entertainment, shows, or events unless noted.
